WEST MAIN INSTITUTE OF BIBLE STUDIES

Training people to communicate the gospel to the world.

West Main Institute of Bible Studies is a Satellite School of the Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas.  The satellite school will provide an opportunity for in-depth Bible study in the Medford area.  It will provide the opportunity for greater spiritual growth for Christians who are hungering and thirsting after a greater Bible knowledge.  The school can provide a person that is seeking to know more about God and the Bible to know God.  The goal of the school is to help local congregations increase the fruitfulness of their ministries and train today’s bible teachers, parents and others with tools needed to address the 21st century problems and opportunities.

The Sunset International Bible Institute has been in existence since the early 1960's.  The purpose of SIBI is “Training whole persons to communicate the whole gospel to the whole world, wholly to please God.”  The material that will be taught at the West Main Bible Institute of Bible Studies is the same material that is used at Sunset International Bible Institute.  The material will be presented by video of the classes as they are instructed at SIBI.  The same study guides and resources will be used at the West Main satellite school.  The instructors are well qualified to be teachers and possess excellent teaching skills.

West Main Institute of Bible Studies will conduct classes beginning September 8 through July 12 of 2012.  There will be thirty-six class sessions during this time period.  The courses that are taught are either twelve or twenty-four lessons in length. We will have breaks at Thanksgiving and for three weeks in December.  Two courses will be covered during each class period and students may attend the class of their choice.

Classes will meet on Thursday evenings from 7-9:00 p.m. in the upstairs ladies classroom.  Class topics are: Bible History I, Distinctive Nature of the Church, Historical Christian Evidences, Bible History II, Timothy and Titus.

The cost varies depending upon whether you want to audit the course or get a degree.  It is approximately $10.00 for the study guide. (Please see the Bible Studies guide for more information on price, course times, and classes. The guide is located at the information desk in the courtyard.)

All students must complete a Student and Course application to attend WMIBS.  Student applications, course applications and student guides are available at the information desk in the courtyard.  All applications need to be received by August 19. Applications are also available online at http://www.extensionschool.com

If you need more information, please contact Dan Beeks.
