RIGHTEOUS ROUNDUP
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
VBS is only three weeks away. There are still many things and much help needed! We need YOU to help make this an awesome VBS for our kids in the neighborhood. Please invite your friends and neighbors to come join us on June 19-22 from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. VBS is for kids who have finished Kindergarten - 6th Grade.
Just in case you are wondering how you can help - please contact Denise Beeks to volunteer for the following activities:
Someone to pickup the Jump House and Sno-Cone machine, set them up, take them down, and return them all on Friday, June 22. Time frame is 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Someone who can put up our VBS sign this week and take it down after VBS is over.
Any adults who would be available and willing to become actors for our story skits (any day that you can) Tuesday-Friday from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
Someone to paint a cowboy face on a board for us and someone to cut out the face. This is one of our games for Friday afternoon. (I have the simple pattern for the face.)
We need 2-3 big tubs for the bobbing for apples game on Friday, after lunch.
We also need about 8 big blue tarps we can use to set up games for Friday afternoon.
We need 4 medium sized coffee cans with lids to use for our change collection for our “adopted kids.”
Whatever you can do to help will make this a great VBS!

Good memories.” In her life she credits all the women in the church who have offered her spiritual advice, as great influences in her faith. Her favorite Bible verse is John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” To future seniors, she says simply, “don’t skip class.” Congratulations Kelly, we are very proud of you!

She is graduating from North Medford High School. To future graduates she says, “take every opportunity to be involved in the youth group and go on as many trips as you can. The memories and friendships you make will last forever, and the spiritual growth you get from them is amazing.” In her life she credits a few for having a big impact on her faith. Marissa says, “My parents have taught me to live righteously and have been great role models. And Brian has taught me so much about the Bible, and that everything in it can be applied to my life and the way I live.” In the fall she will be going to Harding University and majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Musical Education. We are so very proud of you Marissa!
Cory Murray was born to Rodney and Amy on September 17, 1993 in Medford. He is graduating from North Medford High School. His favorite band is, “Casting Crowns.” His favorite movie is, “Hot Rod” and he loves all of the “Harry Potter” books. His favorite Bible verse says, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it” (I Cor. 10:13). His favorite youth group memory is, “the three days we spent at Faith Quest becoming closer to all of the others.” To future seniors he advises to, “follow through with all of your school work and don’t fall behind. Get that work done! But, remember to enjoy yourself while doing it.” He says that his stepfather Roy Harper has been very influential in his faith. “He led my family to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. He is a perfect role model because he is a Godly man that constantly tries his best to guide us in the right direction. He is also very loving.” This summer he will go for more military training, then in the fall he will attend Western Oregon University and participate in their ROTC program to become an officer. All the while he will be pursuing a business degree. We are very proud of you Cory!

Her favorite movie is, “Anne of Green Gables” and her favorite book is the, “Harry Potter” series. Her favorite Bible verse is James 1:16-18 which says, “Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.” Her favorite youth group memory is, “all of the years spent at camp. Camp is home to many, many memories and it is where I changed and grew spiritually.” In her life her parents played a big part in her faith. She says, “They have shown me how to live a Godly life. Also, Mark Moreno played a big part, too. I have learned from his testimony and passion to live for Christ.” To future seniors she says, “find a way to balance every aspect of your life, whether it’s family, friends, relationships, school, sports, church, etc…and most importantly, cherish every moment!” Carissa plans to go to Oregon State University and become a history teacher. His favorite movie is, “The Tree of Life.” His favorite books are, “The Glass Castle” and “1984.” His favorite verse in scripture is, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, and a light on my path” (Psalm 119:105). To future seniors he offers this advice, “do not procrastinate your senior year. I DID and it makes everything very difficult. Also, never lose hope in anything you do. Have faith that God will pull you through every hard time and don’t be afraid to share your love for Him with your peers.” His favorite memory of youth group is that, “whenever you go on any trip with Pannell, you WILL be woken up by the song, “Umbrella” by Rihanna. You won’t always enjoy it, but it will be a great memory.” He says the kids at West Main have had a huge impact on his faith. “Watching them all grow up with loving families really inspires me how to live for God as an adult. And when the times comes to have my own family I want them to grow up in a church family just like I did.” After graduation he plans to, “move up to Eugene in the summer and just see where the wind blows me. God has a plan for everyone and I’m excited to see what’s in store for me.” Good job Mitch. We’re cheering for you!
